if you have to ask the price, you can't afford them.

nike's "what the dunk"
also recently watched the royal tenenbaums. dynamic ensemble cast, the usual wes anderson style. and there was something particularly captivating in the way that margot tenenbaum (gwyneth paltrow) smoked her cigarettes.
forgot to post about it might get loud. fantastic movie. it taught me several things:

1. jack white is awesome.
2. the edge is awesome.
3. jimmy page is fucking awesome.
4. i would very much like to be a rock star.

2 questions...

where in the world are taylor momsen's parents?

and, assuming they are alive and well, why in the world are they letting her leave the house looking like this/hang out with lindsay lohan?

i just finished watching the entire series of seinfeld for the 5th time. let's do some math...

9 seasons of seinfeld were produced.
180 episodes in total.
i've owned the series since my 21st birthday.
i will be 23 in 2.5 months.
on average, i've watched 1.37 episodes per day for the past 1 year and 9.5 months.

it is no wonder, then, that i frequently confuse my life and the lives of jerry, george, kramer, and elaine.

"Hi:
Computer working again. Dad forgot to check if it was plugged in!!!"

-David Cross, I Drink for a Reason
"David Cross is a two-time award winner as well as a three-time award winner. He was part of Mr. Show and Arrested Development. He has done - and still does - stand-up comedy. He is a Jew/atheist originally from Atlanta. He speaks four languages and three dialects. He writes, loves, and eats in the NYC area. He is a Red Sox fan. In fact, he has a dog named Ollie Red Sox. He is a true patriot and a great American. He is currently fucking Amber Tamblyn."

-The "about the author" section of David Cross's new book, I Drink for a Reason. Also featured in this section...a picture of Amber Tamblyn's father.

Clearly a must-read.
my parents' computer broke yesterday. as neither of them have a pda, this means they are currently unable to check their emails.

to them, this is merely an inconvenience.

to me, this would be the end of the world.

and that, my friends, is the technological generation gap.

cake. forgot how awesome this song is.

i want a girl
with a mind like a diamond
i want a girl
who knows what's best
i want a girl
with shoes that cut
and eyes that burn
like cigarettes
i want a girl
with the right allocations
who is fast and thorough
and sharp as a tack
she's playing with her jewelry
she's putting up her hair
she's touring the facility
and picking up slack
i want a girl with a short skirt and a long jacket
i want a girl
who gets up early
i want a girl
who stays up late
i want a girl
with uninterrupted prosperity
who uses a machete
to cut through red tape
with fingernails
that shine like justice
and a voice that is dark
like tinted glass
she is fast, thorough
and sharp as a tack
she is touring the facility
and picking up slack
i want a girl with a short skirt and a long jacket
i want a girl
with a smooth liquidation
i want a girl with good dividends
at city bank
we will meet accidentally
we'll start to talk
when she borrows my pen
she wants a car
with a cup holder arm rest
she wants a car
that will get her there
she's changing her name
from kitty to karen
she's trading her mg
for a white chrysler lebaron
i want a girl with a short skirt and a long jacket

i'm pretty sure mary-kate and ashley olsen are just fucking with us. i mean, if i were a gazillionaire, 22 years old, and whatever i wore became instantly trendy (and indeed, i am 1 of those 3 things), i'd probably throw on some bunny ears too.

to hell with it, i'm buying my pair today.

"No, Muslims don't believe that Jesus was the messiah.

Think of it like a movie. The Torah is the first one, and the New Testament is the sequel. Then the Qu'ran comes out, and it retcons the last one like it never happened. There's still Jesus, but he's not the main character anymore, and the messiah hasn't shown up yet.

Jews like the first movie but ignore the sequels, Christians think you need to watch the first two, but the third doesn't count, Muslims think the third one was the best, and Mormons liked the second one so much they started writing fan fiction that doesn't fit with ANY of the series canon."
